Blue Tongue Bar + Kitchen is at 62–64 Ormond Road, Elwood, on the corner of Ormond Road and Beach Avenue.
Monday to Thursday: 3pm – 11pm. Friday to Sunday: 12pm – late. Hours may vary on public holidays, so check our website or social media to confirm.
There’s street parking available on Ormond Road, Beach Avenue and the surrounding side streets. Timed and untimed spots are available depending on the time of day.
Yes. We have both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose what suits.
Unfortunately, the venue is not wheelchair accessible. If you have specific access needs, please give us a call and we'll do what we can to help.
Yes, dogs are welcome in our outdoor area. We're a dog-friendly venue and your four-legged friends are part of the neighbourhood too.
Walk-ins are always welcome. We recommend booking during happy hour and on weekends, as these are our busiest times.

You can book online for groups of up to 10 people. For anything larger, give us a call and we’ll work it out with you. We don’t have private function areas, but we’re happy to chat about how we can look after larger groups.
Bookings are held for 15 minutes. If your plans change, please let us know as early as possible so we can offer the table to someone else. Cancellation terms for larger group bookings will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Yes. Our current food and drinks menus are available on our website. The menu changes seasonally, so it’s always worth checking for what’s new.
We're known for quality steaks cooked over flame, share plates, comfort food done right and freshly shucked oysters sourced direct from farms in Tasmania and NSW. Our wine list is approachable and good value, the beers are cold, and the cocktails are well made.
Yes. We can cater for most dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and common allergies. Let your server know when you order, or mention any requirements when you book, and we’ll look after you.
We don’t have a formal kids menu, but we’re happy to work with you on options that suit younger diners. Have a chat with your server.
Yes. Happy hour runs from 3pm to 6pm daily. $9 Blue Tongue Lager pints, $12 all other pints, $9 glass of wine and sparkling, $12 selected cocktails, and $9 house spirits. A good reason to finish up early.
Yes. We have Fox Sports on screens throughout the venue. It’s a great spot to catch the footy, cricket, or whatever’s on with a cold beer.
